Ingredients:
- 2 cups Basmati Rice
- 3 tsp Ghee
- 3 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 4 cups Water
- 2 Pinches Salt (to your taste)
Steps:
- Soak rice in cold water for 15 minutes and then drain.
- In a saucepan heat ghee on medium-high heat.
Add cumin seeds, put a lid on and let them pop for 30 seconds. (You must watch this so that the seeds don’t burn!)
Take the lid off, add the water, salt, and drained rice. - Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook over low heat for 15 minutes.
Turn off the heat and take off that burner and let it stand covered, for another 10 minutes. - Yields 6 Servings
